Oasis Care Essentials has created an innovative product to support

people who are in long term care situations, recovering from orthopedic surgery or suffering with arthritis.  Our comfort cushions relieve pain, promote healing and prevent bedsores.  We are pleased to offer these effective products to the healthcare industry. 

 

The comfort cushions are made with a moisture-wicking fabric and charcoal-based foam insert that fastens easily on pressure points.  This foam regulates body temperatures and eliminates odors.  The product is unique in design and is focused on prevention versus treatment.

When recovering from hip, femur or knee surgery the cushions lift the weight from the leg to relieve pressure on these joints. The same principle applies to patients with various arthritic conditions.

Bedsores, also called pressure ulcers and decubitus ulcers -- are injuries to the skin and underlying tissue.  Pressure on bony areas and moisture on the skin are the main causes.  As the skin dies, the bedsore starts as a red, painful area which eventually can break open and become seriously infected.
